Looking for Tour Agent and partnership

Hello TourCMS Team,

I'm so excited with TourCMS as it brings tour operators together!

I'm a tour operator in Tanzania with an reputable experience in tourism, basically we're based in Arusha Tanzania in East Africa as is the center for tourism activities in East Africa. I would like to share tour opportunities in tour business in Tanzania with foreign tour operators and tour agents.

I understand exactly what means by partnering with foreign operators and foreign tour agents. Further more I understand well what quality and standard services clients want/need as we have a lot of products to sell to our clients.

The products I have includes:

1. Mountain Climbing include mount Kilimanjaro the 1st in Africa but second outstanding mountain in the World and Mount Meru both are found in Tanzania Arusha city being connecting point!

2. Wildlife safaris that includes game drive, sightseeing and Photography. This ares includes The Great Serengeti Wild Beasts migration, Ngorongoro Crater being the biggest in Africa, Tarangire National park, Aarusha National park, selous, mahale and other to mention.

3. Cultural Tourism including The Maasai community into the Ngorongoro crater grazing with the big five, their life style and the Hadzabe well known as the the bush men

4. Zanzibar beaches in Tanzania islands- honey moon, breezing, swimming etc

5. wide range of Hotels and Lodges with affordable prices according to customers needs, temporary camps and permanent camps into the game parks to feel real of Nature

Missing support pages - help with API for displaying freesale seasons

Hi,

We're having a problem displaying freesale seasons properly through the API. 

We want to show the 

Season Start Date   /   Season End Date   /  Price   /  Offer Price  /   Notes    /  Book now link

Instead of showing the start date of the season, and the end date of the season, it is showing an option bookable for every day within the season - so making a hugely long page. 

The details of how to set the API up should be here...

...but the page is broken. So, no help there. 

No reply from support@ either. 

Can anyone help here? Has anyone been able to use the API to display freesale seasons properly?

Taking booking/payment on open internet

Hello,

We'll be at the Adventure Travel Show in Jan 2016, and I wanted to know if we can use the generic non-secure Internet connection supplied by the organisers to log on to TourCMS, make a booking, and then take payment (via PayPal for example) safely.

My thinking was that TourCMS is run through a secure (green padlock symbol) connection and so is PayPal, so details entered when using these websites are encrypted and so secure even if the Internet connection is non-secure.

Is this correct?

Tourcms - continually receiving errors

We have five staff members using Tourcms on a daily basis. Tourcms has become unreliable and buggy to the point that it is unusable and causing a lot of stress in our office. We continually get this message :

Sorry. TourCMS has experienced an error that we could not recover from.

The event has been logged and sent to an engineer for analysis.

We suggest that you login again and continue what you were doing. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Do any other members constantly get this or is it just us? Having logged the error with Tourcms support, we were told that they were doing 'maintenance' work but as it happens so often, I can't see why this would cause it to happen. 

If no one else suffers the same, I will assume it's something up with our account.

Christmas 2015 support opening hours

For 2 weeks from 21st of December we will be running a reduced support service. 

Our focus will be on keeping the system operational and answering priority operational questions you send to our support. 

However we will not be doing too much project work, nor product configuration, nor training.

Options to multiple pricing

Hello,

I've a tour which has different pricing for adults & children. So I select multiple pricing option in setup.

Now there is an option for private transfers, I've selected the quantity * 1 price for it.

But in booking engine when I try to book for adults & children. Option is being added twice & thereby increasing the cost of booking.

Stripe as a payment gateway

Hello there,

There doesn't seem to be any way around this: Stripe UK beats Paypal UK hands down. Not just on price, but even things like sending the money to my bank account automatically every week (which always struck me as something that Paypal should do!)

Stripe: 1.4% + 20p and going down from there.

Paypal 3.4% to a MINIMUM OF 1.9% + 20p per transaction

Is there any chance of integration in to TourCMS? At the moment it can be done through Spreedly, but Spreedly fees would wipe out the savings

are all api fields public visible

Hi Paul,

Are all fields from the TourCMS api public visible to anyone on the internet? We have for instance some fields like e.g. ["staff_note"]=> string(12345) "Text ... " that contain for internal eyes only information.

Past Date Bookings

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a way to enter post dated bookings into the system?

We need to enter a booking for invoicing purposes back into December (so the money is accounted for in the correct month) - it was for admission tickets stand alone so doesn't affect any bus schedules etc.

We have entered the booking currently as today but need the date changed on it....  otherwise our sales reports and accounting reports are incorrect and the sale shows in the wrong year.

Is this something that can be done?

Any ideas appreciated....

Hi Alex,

Can these per item texts already be used? If yes, can you please add the text "Per group". And can you let me know where in the TourCMS setup to put the translations?

These units are for diplay purposes and have no additional logic associated with them
 Per person (Default)
 Per couple
 Per vehicle
 Per room

request for token for Board basis

Hi Paul,

Is there a token for Board basis? I was looking for this token in the document: http://www.tourcms.com/support/overview/TourCMS_documentation.pdf in the chapter "BOOKING COMPONENT (PRODUCT SPECIFIC)" but could not find it.

Woulkd it be possible to add this token? We use it a lot to send the booking requests to our hotel partners.

Non Booking related Flags

Hi

I´d like to know if there is anyway to insert flags in the system that are not related to specific bookings?

We have a need, for instance, to check fares for a particular tour on June 1st, etc. and it would be very useful to be able to set assign a flag to this task to a memeber of the staff.

excel export for tours

Hi paul,

Is there a way to make and export of all Tours to Excel. Many small issues can be easier filtered out if shown in an excel sheet. I mean small inconsistencies in e.g. Primary location, Duration description etc.

Payment system not working

Hi Paul and Alex,

We've submitted two help requests now with no response.

Our payment system isn't working at all, clients are booking and all payments are failing because the screen to enter card details isn't appearing.

This applies to bookings made on the website and email requests for payment, and results in the following:

  • Customers making multiple bookings which then have to be cancelled
  • We have to email customers apologising for the problems and advise that we can resolve the issue by taking payment over the phone
  • Having to speak to all customers on the phone - which is tricky when they are in multiple time zones - to take their payments
  • Manually reconciling payments with bookings

This presents a poor customer service experience, and also costs us a lot of time following up the failed payments, somewhat defeating the purpose of having an online booking system.

Could you look into this ASAP and advise when it will be resolved please?

Save or save and close button

Hi Paul and Alex,

Is it possible to add a 'save' button in the tour/option frame within a booking?

For example:

If I want to change the information of an option. When I push the save button it close the frame automatically. But I want to change more tabs. So it would be nice if there's a second button that only saves the information without closing the frame.

Commission error

Hello

I am having a problem with a booking where the agent normally takes the commission from the payment they make us but in this case the guest paid directly and the agent is invoicing us for the commission.  I have tried changing the dropdown as to who's paying and unticked the box saying commission paid but the booking is still showing as commission taken.  I have done this before and it has worked. Any ideas what I can do to fix this one?

Teen category

Hello Alex and Paul

Is it possible to add an age category of Teens - We have to report for Taxe de Sejour purposes on all adults (18+) who stay with us and currently the adult section is showing as over 12's.  Whilst this is correct for other purposes it would be great to move the teens (13-17) out of the adult category.

We are looking into an iDEAL payment integration. Anyone suggestions?

Anyone experienced with www.qantani.com? It is not yet integrated in TourCMS.

We need small set up costs, small monthly fees.

Any help/suggestions are welcome!
